(012) A grounding meditation to feel present, settled, and ready to speak at work without performing confidence
We can spend so much energy trying to feel ready before the hard conversations. We prepare. We rehearse. We wait for the moment when we'll finally feel sure enough, calm enough, confident enough to say the thing that needs to be said.
And often that moment rarely comes the way we thought if would.
What research shows is that what most of us are actually missing isn't more preparation. It's presence. The simple, physical, felt sense of being in our own bodies before we open our mouths. That's what this practice is for. Not to make you into someone different. Not to manufacture confidence you don't feel. Just to help you find the ground beneath you, so you go into the conversation feeling settled and grounded.
In this practice, you'll be guided through a short, soothing grounding practice of a quiet morning nature scene and one simple reminder that being grounded is enough.
This Practice Is For You If
- You have a conversation ahead and your mind is already in the room before your body is
- You've been waiting to feel confident and that feeling keeps not arriving the way you hope
- You want something simple, real, and portable; not a performance of calm but a grounded presence you can speak from.
This Week's Reflection
Where in your life are you waiting to feel confident before you'll allow yourself to speak? What would it look like to begin grounded instead?
If This Practice Supported You
If you listened to this before a hard conversation or on a morning when you needed to feel the ground beneath you, will you take a moment to leave a review? It takes two minutes and it helps more women find their ground.
Thank you for being here. Until next time, may you feel the ground beneath you, and trust that being grounded is enough.
